In Hindi we say sentences like "अगर तुम आते तो मै भी आता", "अगर वह बोलता तो तूने किया होता".
The pair "अगर-तो" ( agar-to) in Hindi is "जर-तर" ( jar-tar) .

1) "अगर-तो" ( agar-to) statements for indicating past actions

For details of the grammar rules refer first part of the lesson
Sentence using "If-Then"

The sentence structure is same as in Hindi. You can observe it in below examples.

2) "अगर-तो" ( agar-to) statements for indicating future actions
IF-then statements are also used to indicate future actions.

For details of the grammar rules refer second part of the lesson
Sentence using "If-Then"

The sentence structure is same as in Hindi. You can observe it in below examples.

अगर तू जायेगा तो मै भी जाऊंगा ( agar tU jAyegA to mai bhI jAUMgA )
जर तू गेलास तर मी पण जाईन ( jar tU gelAs tar mI paN jAIn )

उसने दरवाजा खोला तो मै देखुंगा ( usane daravAjA kholA to mai dekhuMgA )

जर त्याने खरे सांगितले तर आम्ही त्याला सोडू ( jar tyAne khare sAMgitale tar AmhI tyAlA soDU  )

  1. I was a bit confused with the Marathi grammar comparing that to Hindi grammar totally. Sorry for that and now i have understood that Marathi has it's own grammar rules apart from Hindi. Much of it are similar and there are differences. Thanks for all your efforts in explaining that to me and i have removed the comments.
